HERBED
WILD AND BROWN RICE RECIPE
This recipe
will teach you how to make Herbed Wild and Brown Rice. It
is a quick and easy recipe to make. Herbed
Wild and Brown Rice is an excellent way of doing a rice and
grain recipe. The flavours of the herbs mixed with the rice
are sensational. My family all like rice but especially my
youngest daughter she will come in and have a big bowl of
rice for a snack so I have to make sure when I cook Herbed
Wild and Brown Rice I cook a lot so there is some left over
for the next day.
Herbed
Wild and Brown Rice Ingredients
3 bay leaves
1 tsp soy sauce
1/2 cup wild rice
1/2 cup brown rice
3 cups chicken stock
dash cayenne pepper
2 cloves garlic minced
2 Tbs minced green onions
1 tsp thyme, marjoram and basil
Herbed
Wild and Brown Rice Method
In a medium saucepan bring 1/4
cup of the stock to a boil. Add the rice, green onions, garlic
and soy sauce and stir fry for 3 minutes until the vegetables
are soft. Add the remaining stock and seasonings and bring
to a boil then reduce heat to low and cover and cook for 1
hour until the rice is tender. Discard the bay leaves and
continue to cook uncovered until any remaining liquid has
evaporated. Fluff the Herbed Wild and Brown Rice lightly with
a fork and serve.

LEMON
RICE PILAF RECIPE
This
recipe will teach you how to make Lemon Rice Pilaf. It is
a quick and easy recipe to make. Lemon
Rice Pilaf is an absolutely great way of cooking rice. The
flavours of the rice, onion, garlic, lemon peel, mustard,
pepper sauce and celery makes the taste fantastic.
Lemon Rice Pilaf Ingredients
1/2 tsp
salt
2 cups water
1/4 cup butter
1/4 tsp dry mustard
2 Tbs snipped parsley
1 small onion chopped
1/8 tsp red pepper sauce
1 cup uncooked regular rice
2 medium stalks of celery sliced
2 tsp finely shredded lemon peel
2 tsp dry instant chicken bouillon
1 small clove garlic finely chopped
Lemon
Rice Pilaf Method
Combine the onion, garlic and
the butter in a 3 quart saucepan and cook until the onion
is tender. Stir in the remaining ingredients except the parsley.
Heat to boiling stirring once or twice. Reduce the heat and
cover and simmer for 14 minutes without lifting the cover
or stirring. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the
parsley lightly with a fork. Cover the Lemon Rice Pilaf and
let steam for 10 minutes.
