VEAL
AND PORK WONTONS RECIPE
This recipe
will teach you how to make Veal and Pork Wontons. It is a
quick and easy recipe to make. There
are so many recipes you can cook in the microwave and the
Veal and Pork Wontons is just one fabulous recipe you can
cook in it. The great combination of shallots, garlic, pork,
veal, mushrooms and mixed with the rest of the ingredients
makes the flavour of the Veal and Pork Wontons taste really
sensational. When I have my cooking day I always make extra
of the wontons and freeze some for another time as you can
keep them frozen for up to 1 month and they are a great thing
to have on hand if you have people over and want to have an
appetizer before the main meal.
Veal and
Pork Wontons Ingredients
30g butter
1 Tbs water
1 tsp cornflour
2 tsp plain flour
1/2 tsp sesame oil
2 tsp oyster sauce
18 wonton wrappers
1 clove crushed garlic
2 green shallots chopped
125g veal and pork mince
125g mushrooms finely chopped
Dipping Sauce:
2 Tbs hoisin sauce
1 Tbs dark soy sauce
Veal and
Pork Wontons Method
In a microwave bowl combine
butter, shallots and garlic then cook on high for 2 minutes
then stir in flour, mince, mushrooms, oyster sauce and sesame
oil. Take the wonton wrappers and place a heaped teaspoonful
of the mince mixture in the centre of each wrapper. Brush
the edge of the pastry with a little of the blended cornflour
and water then pinch opposite corners of the pastry together.
In a shallow dish pour enough hot water to come 2cm up the
side then cook on high for about 5 minutes or until water
is boiling. Place the wontons in the water and cover and cook
on high for about 5 minutes or until wontons are cooked through.
Serve the Veal and Pork Wontons with dipping sauce.
Dipping Sauce:
Combine the hoisin sauce and the dark soy sauce together and
mix.

LETTUCE ROLLS RECIPE
This
recipe will teach you how to make Seafood Lettuce Rolls. It
is a quick and easy recipe to make.
This is a really great
way of having seafood and the mixture of the lettuce, fish
and scallops together with the rest of the ingredients makes
the taste so exceptional. Serve the Seafood Lettuce Rolls
as an appetizer before you have a main meal of stir fried
fish and rice this makes a fantastic feast for you and your
friends. You can make the Seafood Lettuce Rolls up the day
before but I prefer to make them on the day.
Seafood Lettuce Rolls
Ingredients
1 egg
125g scallops
30 fresh chives
1 tsp lemon juice
15 lettuce leaves
!/2 cup breadcrumbs
250g white fish fillets
1/4 cup chopped fresh chives extra
Dipping Sauce:
2 Tbs hoisin sauce
1/4 cup light soy sauce
Seafood
Lettuce Rolls Method
In a large shallow microwave
dish place the lettuce leaves and cover then cook on high
for about 4 minutes or until just wilted then drain on paper
towelling. Place the chives in shallow dish then cover and
cook on high for 30 seconds or until bright green. In a blender
add the boned fish and scallops and blend until smooth then
add egg, breadcrumbs, lemon juice and extra chives then blend
until smooth. Cut each lettuce leaf in half and place a teaspoon
of fish mixture on each half then fold the sides in and roll
up. Tie each roll with a chive then place in a shallow dish
and cook on high for about 4 minutes or until rolls are cooked
through. Serve the Seafood Lettuce Rolls with dipping sauce.
Dipping Sauce:
In a bowl mix together the hoisin sauce and the light soy
sauce and then put into a dipping bowl and enjoy the Seafood
Lettuce Rolls dipped in the sauce.
