VEAL
AND MUSHROOM CASSEROLE RECIPE
This recipe

Veal And
Mushroom Casserole Ingredients
1 tsp salt
6 Tbs butter
1 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp white pepper
1/4 tsp grated nutmeg
1 large onion chopped
2 cups halved mushrooms
2x 1 1/2 lb pieces of breast of veal cubed
15 1/4 oz can cream of mushroom soup made up with 3 cups water
Veal And
Mushroom Casserole Method
Take a
flameproof casserole and melt 2 tablespoons of the butter
in it and gently fry the onion until soft but not browned.
Add the veal and fry on all sides for 8 minutes until lightly
browned. Pour over the soup and season with the paprika, nutmeg
and salt and pepper and mix together well. Cover and cook
in a preheated moderate oven for 2 hours. Melt the remaining
butter in a pan and fry the mushrooms for 3 minutes. Add to
the Veal And Mushroom Casserole and return to the oven and
cook for a further 30 minutes until the meat is tender.
