SICHUAN
CHICKEN RECIPE
This recipe
will teach you how to make Sichuan Chicken. It is a quick
and easy recipe to make. Sichuan
Chicken is the most nourishing and tasty meal to have. The
flavours of the chicken, carrots, bamboo shoots, dried hot
peppers with the added sauce mixture gives this recipe a fantastic
taste. Just watch if you have young children as the peppers
make it a bit hot.

Chicken Ingredients
cooking oil
12 dried hot peppers
1 can bamboo shoots
4 carrots sliced into 1/4" pieces
1 lb boneless chicken breast cubed
Sauce:
3 Tbs sherry
6 Tbs soy sauce
3 Tbs cornstarch
2 Tbs powdered dry ginger

Chicken Method
Mix the ingredients for the
sauce in a bowl. Place the peppers and 1 tablespoon of cooking
oil in a wok and brown the peppers under medium heat and remove
them to a plate. Add the cubed chicken and cook until pink
colour disappears. Remove the chicken from the wok and then
add 1 tablespoon of oil to the wok and add the carrots then
stir fry until carrots begin to soften. Add the bamboo shoots
and stir fry 2 minutes then add the peppers, chicken and the
sauce to the wok. Stir over medium heat until the sauce thickens.
Serve the Sichuan Chicken over hot boiled rice.
