POTATO CAKES RECIPE
This recipe
will teach you how to make Potato Cakes. It is a quick and
easy recipe to make.
These are my grandchildrens
favourite way of doing potatoes. I usually like cooking Potato
Cakes up when I know they are coming over as they just like
eating them with sauce but for my husband and I we like our
Potato Cakes with other vegetables such as peas, carrots and
pumpkin.

Cakes Ingredients
2 eggs
beaten
salt and pepper
oil for shallow frying
1 small onion grated
1/2 cup cheese grated
2 Tbs parsley chopped
4 medium potatoes grated

Cakes Method
Season the eggs with plenty
of salt and pepper and then add the parsley. Drain any liquid
from the potato and stir into the egg mixture then add the
onion and cheese. Heat oil in a fry pan and place 2 tablespoons
of mixture in the pan and flatten slightly. Fry the Potato
Cakes until golden brown.

VEGETABLE CHOWDER RECIPE
This
recipe will teach you how to make Potato Vegetable Chowder.
It is a quick and easy recipe to make. Potato
Vegetable Chowder is a really nourishing vegetarian meal.The
flavours of the potato, cabbage, carrots, celery and onion
and the cheese makes the taste of this chowder absolutely
fabulous.
Potato Vegetable Chowder Ingredients
salt to taste
1 cup skim milk
black pepper to taste
white pepper to taste
1 small onion chopped
tabasco sauce to taste
2 stalks celery chopped
1/4 head cabbage chopped
2 carrots peeled and grated
1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese
5 medium sized potatoes peeled and cubed

Vegetable Chowder Method
Place the cubed potatoes in
a 2 quart saucepan cover with water and bing to a boil. Add
the cabbage, carrots, onion and the celery. Cook until the
potatoes are soft enough to mash. Add the salt, black and
white pepper and the tabasco sauce stirring well. Add the
cheese and enough milk to make it soupy. Cook the Potato Vegetable
Chowder for another 5 to 7 minutes and serve.
