LENTIL LASAGNA RECIPE

Lentil Lasagna.

This recipe will teach you how to make Lentil Lasagna. It is a quick and easy recipe to make. You know being a vegetarian does not mean you can not make the same sort of food that meat eaters do take this terrific tasting Lentil Lasagna for instance. You can make any sort of recipe just omit the meat and add lentils or whatever you would like in the recipe.

Lentil Lasagna Ingredients

9 lasagna sheets
1/2 cup dry lentils
1/2 cup parmesan
1 lb cottage cheese
1 pkg frozen spinach
1 cup grated cheddar
1 cup grated mozzarella
large jar of spaghetti sauce

Lentil Lasagna Method

Cook lentils in boiling water for about 20 minutes and drain. Thaw spinach in microwave and press out liquid. Cook lasagna sheets. Make layers in oblong baking pan as follows sauce, lasagna sheets, sauce, cottage cheese, lentils, spinach, cheddar and mozzarella, more sauce. Cover top layer of Lentil Lasagna with sauce, sprinkle with parmesan. Bake the Lentil Lasagna at 375 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes. Add 1/2 lb sliced sauteed mushrooms to sauce if desired. Great Lentil Lasagna the whole family will love it.

LENTIL LOAF RECIPE

Lentil Loaf.

This recipe will teach you how to make Lentil Loaf. It is a quick and easy recipe to make. Lentil Loaf is an excellent vegetarian recipe. The flavours of the herbs mixed with the lentils, tomato, onion and parmesan cheese are sensational. The Lentil Loaf is great served with roast potatoes, peas and gravy.

Lentil Loaf Ingredients

l tsp salt
l/2 cup milk
l clove garlic
l sliced onion
l beaten egg
l diced apple
4 cups water
l/4 tsp thyme
l sliced tomato
2 Tbs virgin olive oil
l cup dry split lentils
l Tbs parmesan cheese
l l/2 cups bread crumbs


Lentil Loaf Method

Heat to boiling the 4 cups water. Add the dry split lentils and simmer 30 minutes until tender. Drain and mash. Grease a 4 x 9 inch loaf pan. Heat the oil in a heavy saucepan. Add the onion, tomato, apple, and garlic and saute until tender. Add the salt, thyme, milk, egg and l cup of the breadcrumbs to the lentils and stir. Spoon mixture into loaf pan. Mix l/2 cup breadcrumbs with the parmesan cheese. Sprinkle over loaf. Bake the Lentil Loaf for l hour at 350 degrees.
