CURRIED NAVY BEANS RECIPE

Curried Navy Beans.

This recipe will teach you how to make Curried Navy Beans. It is a quick and easy recipe to make. This is a fantastic way of doing navy beans. Curried Navy Beans is a wonderful nourishing meal and the flavour is sensational. This recipe can be served with rice.

Curried Navy Beans Ingredients

3/4 tsp salt
2 tsp olive oil
1/2 tsp turmeric
1 Tbs curry powder
3/4 tsp black pepper
2 cups chicken broth
1 large onion chopped
1 large tomato chopped
1/4 cup chopped cilantro
2 tsp minced fresh ginger
3/4 tsp crushed red pepper
2 russet potatoes peeled and cubed
2 x 16 oz cans navy beans rinsed, drained, divided

Curried Navy Beans Method

Cook potato and red pepper in enough boiling water to cover, until tender then drain and set aside. Process 1 cup beans, broth, ginger and turmeric in a blender until smooth. Saute onion in hot oil in a dutch oven over medium heat for 5 minutes or until tender and then add curry powder and cook 1 minute. Stir in potato, pureed bean mixture, remaining beans, salt and black pepper. Reduce heat to low and simmer stirring occasionally until thickened. Sprinkle with cilantro and tomato.

CURRIED TENDERBITS RECIPE

Curried Tenderbits.

This recipe will teach you how to make Curried Tenderbits. It is a quick and easy recipe to make. A lot of people do not know what to do with the canned sanitarian products so this is one recipe you can do with the tenderbits. Some of my family are not vegetarians but they will still eat the Curried Tenderbits when I cook it. My youngest daughter really loves vegetarian food and if you do not keep an eye on her she will eat the whole lot.

Curried Tenderbits Ingredients

1 Tbs oil
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup water
1/2 tsp curry
1/2 cup beans
2 sticks celery
1 tin tenderbits
1 medium onion
1 medium carrot
1 tsp sweet basil
1/2 green capsicum


Curried Tenderbits Method

Slice all vegetables into matchsticks then saute in hot oil, onion, celery, carrot, capsicum and beans, stirring for 5 minutes. Add sweet basil, curry powder and salt then stir. Add tenderbits and water and simmer until vegetables are cooked. Serve with rice.
