COTTAGE
PIE RECIPE
This recipe
will teach you how to make Cottage Pie. It is a quick and
easy recipe to make. This is a real family favourite the Cottage
Pie as my mother and her mother and myself and now my children
make this Cottage Pie. The flavour is terrific and you can
heat the leftovers up the next day and it still tastes as
good as when it was first made.

Pie Ingredients
1 egg
1 onion
4 potatoes
a little milk
3/4 tsp salt
1 dsp margarine
a dash of pepper
1 Tbs grated cheese
1/2 cup cubed carrot
1/2 cup cooked peas
1 lb finely minced steak
1 small can tomato soup
Cottage
Pie Method
Cook the potatoes and mash while
still hot adding the milk and beaten egg. Season to taste
with salt and pepper. Melt the margarine in a saucepan and
cook the chopped onion until a light golden colour. Add the
meat and seasonings and stir over medium heat until it changes
colour. Add the peas and cubed carrots and the soup and bring
to boil. Turn into a casserole dish then drop spoonfuls of
the potato mixture on top and sprinkle with grated cheese.
Bake the Cottage Pie in a moderate oven for 20 to 30 minutes.
