1 Tbs water
2 lb chitterlings
oil for deep frying
1 egg lightly beaten
fine cracker crumbs

Chitterlings Deep Fried Method

Prepare chitterlings: Wash chitterlings 3 times and place in a large kettle with 5 cups of water and 2 chopped onions, 2 bay leaves, 2 teaspoons salt, 1/4 teaspoon pepper, 2 cloves minced garlic and other seasonings as desired. Simmer for 2 hours or until chitterlings are tender. Beat egg with 1 tablespoon water. Cut boiled chitterlings into pieces about the size of oysters. Dip each piece into egg mixture then roll in crumbs. Cook Chitterlings Deep Fried in oil until golden brown.

Corn Dogs Deep Fried.

This recipe will teach you how to make Corn Dogs Deep Fried. It is a quick and easy recipe to make. I have never met anyone who has not liked Corn Dogs Deep Fried especially with a bowl of sauce to dip them in. I make these for lunch on Sundays when my grandsons come over and they think it is so cool that there nanna can cook Corn Dogs Deep Fried.

Corn Dogs Deep Fried Ingredients

1 tsp salt
1 cup milk
1 large egg
6 frankfurters
vegetable oil for frying
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup yellow corn meal
1 cup sifted all purpose flour

Corn Dogs Deep Fried Method

Pat frankfurters dry and set aside. In a bowl whisk together the cornmeal, flour, salt and baking powder. In a small bowl whisk together the milk and egg until combined then add the milk mixture into the dry ingredients whisking until smooth. In a deep fryer heat oil. Dip a frankfurter in the batter and coat completely then fry until browned about 2 to 3 minutes. Two to three frankfurters can be fried at a time. Transfer to paper towels to drain. Allow oil to return to appropriate temperature and fry remaining Corn Dogs Deep Fried in same manner. Serve with sauces.
