Chili Spiced Beef and Rice Salad.

My husband and son in law really like the Chili Spiced beef and Rice Salad as they both like a touch of the spicy food so when I make the salad I usually make two so I can add less spice to one for my daughters and I.

Chili Spiced beef and Rice Salad Ingredients

2/3 cup rice
3 onions thinly sliced
1 orange cut in pieces
1/4 cup toasted walnuts chopped
2 tsp spicy seasoning mix divided
1 lb boneless beef top sirloin steak

Chili Spiced Beef and Rice Salad Method

Cook rice according to package directions adding 1 tsp spicy seasoning mix to the water. Should yield about 2 cups. Heat 10 inch nonstick frying pan over medium heat for 5 minutes. Meanwhile rub 1 tsp seasoning into both sides of steak. Pan broil steak 14 minutes for rare to medium turning once. Season with salt if desired. Meanwhile combine rice, fruit, onions and walnuts. Carve steak into 1/4 inch thick slices. Arrange Chili Spiced Beef and Rice Salad on individual plates.

CHINESE COLESLAW RECIPE

Chinese Coleslaw.

This recipe will teach you how to make Chinese Coleslaw. It is a quick and easy recipe to make. Chinese Coleslaw has a mixture of wonderful flavours from the cabbage, pineapple, chestnuts, parsley, green onions, mayonnaise, mustard and ginger root. The chinese cabbage is really good to make coleslaw out of as it is a finner cabbage.

Chinese Coleslaw Ingredients

1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 Tbs mustard prepared
1 tsp ginger root grated
1/4 cup green onions sliced
8 oz water chestnuts sliced
1 cup parsley fresh, snipped
4 cups chinese cabbage shredded
8 1/4 oz pineapple crushed, drained

Chinese Coleslaw Method

Combine cabbage, pineapple, water chestnuts, parsley and onion then cover and chill. For the dressing combine mayonnaise, mustard and ginger root then cover and chill. Spoon dressing over the Chinese Coleslaw and toss to coat.
