TRADITIONAL CAESAR SALAD RECIPE

Traditional Caesar Salad Recipe, Traditional Caesar Salad.

This recipe will teach you how to make Traditional Caesar Salad. It is a quick and easy recipe to make. My daughter made this Traditional Caesar Salad for our christmas lunch and we all enjoyed it so much. It is so simple and full of flavour and it is great if you top it with croutons as they make it look really special if you have it at christmas time like we did.

Traditional Caesar Salad Ingredients

1Tbs olive oil
2 cos lettuces
1/2 lemon, juiced
4 Tbs sour cream
oil from anchovies tin
1 small tin anchovies
1/2 cup olive oil extra
1 clove garlic crushed
1/2 tsp tabasco sauce
2 eggs boiled 1 minute
1/2 tsp mustard powder
salt and pepper to taste
6 hard boiled eggs halved
extra shaved parmesan to garnish
4 rashers rindless bacon chopped
125g block parmesan cheese shaved

Traditional Caesar Salad Method

Separate lettuce leaves and rinse thoroughly discarding any discoloured or wilted leaves.In four serving bowls arrange 4 leaves per bowl around outside of bowl. Chop remaining leaves in half and lengthways and place in a large mixing bowl. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a frypan and cook bacon until crisp and browned then mix bacon, 12 anchovies and shaved parmesan through chopped lettuce. In a small bowl combine extra olive oil, sour cream, anchovy oil, garlic, runny eggs, tabasco sauce, mustard powder, lemon juice and seasoning then whisk to combine well. Pour dressing over lettuce, bacon and anchovies. Divide lettuce mixture amongst bowls ensuring that whole lettuce leaves remain to the outside of the bowl. Place boiled eggs on top and garnish with extra parmesan cheese. Top the Traditional Caesar Salad with croutons if desired.

TUNA AND VEGETABLE SALAD RECIPE

Tuna and Vegetable Salad.

This recipe will teach you how to make Tuna and Vegetable Salad. It is a quick and easy recipe to make. This is one of my favourite salads as I really enjoy a Tuna and Vegetable Salad with a mixture of green beans, lettuce, tomato, red onion, hard boiled eggs, mustard, tuna, anchovies, olive oil, vinegar and garlic which all go into giving this salad an exceptional taste.

Tuna and Vegetable Salad Ingredients

8 anchovies
2 Tbs olive oil
1 Tbs white vinegar
1/2 red onion sliced
4 cups mixed lettuce
1 clove garlic crushed
2 hard boiled eggs halved
125g green beans trimmed
1 Tbs of Australian mustard
1 large can of tuna in spring water

1 medium tomato cut into segments


Tuna and Vegetable Salad Method

Blanch beans in a large saucepan of boiling water for 30 seconds then drain and flush with cold water until completely cooled and let drain. Divide lettuce between four plates and arrange beans, segments of tomato, quarters of egg, chunks of tuna and anchovies on top. In a small jar combine olive oil, white vinegar, garlic and mustard. Shake well and drizzle over the Tuna and Vegetable Salad.
