BUTTER
OAT BISCUITS RECIPE
This recipe
will teach you how to make Butter Oat Biscuits. It is a quick
and easy recipe to make. These biscuits have a wonderful flavour
of treacle in them and mixed with the other ingredients makes
a great tasting biscuit. These biscuits are also good to put
in with the childrens lunches.
Butter
Oat Biscuits Ingredients
125g butter
1/2 cup castor sugar
2 tsp treacle
1 cup self raising flour
2 cups rolled oats
1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
1/4 cup boiling water

Oat Biscuits Method
Cream the butter and sugar then
add treacle and cream well. Blend in sifted flour and oats.
Dissolve soda in boiling water and add to mixture while still
hot then mix to a stiff dough. Roll teaspoons of mixture into
balls then place onto greased oven trays, allowing room for
spreading then press flat with fork. Bake in a moderate oven
approximately 15 minutes then cool the Butter Oat Biscuits
on trays.
