BEEF
GOULASH RECIPE
Now how many of you have managed
to cook a meal in the microwave. I used to only use my microwave
for heating food up in, till I learnt to make Beef Goulash
in it and since then I keep experimenting with all sorts of
food. The Beef Goulash is still my favourite my family either
have the Beef Goulash with noodles or rice.
Beef Goulash
Ingredients
2 Tbs oil
1 bay leaf
1/2 cup flour
2 sliced onions
1/2 tsp paprika
1 Tbs tomato paste
4 Tbs natural yoghurt
2 crushed cloves garlic
2 Tbs chopped parsley
1 kg lean braising steak
2 1/2 cups hot beef stock
200 g mashed can tomatoes
Beef Goulash
Method
Now the
first thing you must do is to cut the meat into bite sized
pieces and then mix the flour and paprika together and toss
the meat in the mixture. Heat a browning dish on full power
according to manufacturers instructions and then pour the
oil into the dish and cook on full for 1 minute. Add the beef
and cook for 5 minutes on full turning frequently to brown
all sides. Take a casserole dish and place the meat in it
with the garlic, tomato paste, onion, stock, bay leaf and
tomatoes and then cover the Beef Goulash and cook on full
for 45 minutes until the beef is tender. Leave the Beef Goulash
to stand for 5 minutes. Spoon the yoghurt over the Beef Goulash
and serve garnished with parsley. The Beef Goulash goes well
with noodles or rice or even mash potatoes.
