BEEF
ESTERHAZY RECIPE
This
recipe will teach you how to make Beef Esterhazy. It is a
quick and easy recipe to make. When
you cook the Beef Esterhazy you will be a real hit with your
family. I really like the Beef Esterhazy served with the vegetables
as they have a real fantastic taste to then. I also add some
potatoes to as my husband loves his potatoes. I make extra
vegetables with it when I know the whole family is coming
for a meal and I'm cooking Beef Esterhazy.
Beef Esterhazy
Ingredients

onion
2 dsp fat
2 carrots
1 tsp salt
1 dsp paprika
2 soup cubes
1/4 tsp pepper
2 stalks celery
2 Tbs plain flour
1 1/2 cups water
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 lb fresh mushroms
1/4 cup snipped parsley
1 1/2 lb good steak 1 inch thick
Beef Esterhazy
Method
First
thing to do is to rub the steak with the combined flour, salt
and pepper and then heat the fat in a saucepan and brown the
steak on both sides. Remove the meat leaving any fat in the
saucepan and then peel and slice the carrots and onion and
chop the celery and then put it in the pan with the parsley
and mushrooms and gently saute them for a few minutes and
then add 1 tablespoon of seasoned flour and the paprika. Dissolve
the soup cubes in the water and then add to the mixture and
stir until boiling. Return the meat to the pan and put the
lid on and simmer for about 1 hour or until fork tender. Beat
the sour cream in a bowl with a little of the liquid from
the pan and then stir into the meat until almost boiling.
Great served with a hot buttered bread roll.
