AND EGG AU GRATIN RECIPE
This
is a terrific way of doing eggs. The Bean And Egg Au Gratin

Egg Au Gratin Ingredients
salt
2 cups milk
1/4 cup butter
1 lb shelled lima beans
6 Tbs wholewheat flour
2 Tbs fresh breadcrumbs
3 hard boiled eggs sliced
freshly ground black pepper
1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese

Egg Au Gratin Method
First
thing to do is to cook the beans in boiling salted water until
just tender then drain. Place half the beans in a greased
ovenproof dish and place the eggs on top. Cover with the remaining
beans. Melt 3 tablespoons of the butter in a pan and stir
in the flour and cook gently stiring to make a roux. Remove
from the heat and gradually add the milk and make sure you
keep stirring. Return to the heat and bring to a boil. Cook
stirring until thickened. Season the Bean And Egg Au Gratin
to taste with salt and pepper. Pour the sauce over the beans
and sprinkle on the breadcrumbs and cheese. Dot the Bean And
Egg Au Gratin with the remaining butter. Place it in a preheated
hot oven 435 degrees and cook for 15 minutes until golden
brown. The Bean And Egg Au Gratin is great served with a green
salad.
