BAVARIAN
CHOCOLATE PIE RECIPE
This
recipe for the Bavarian Chocolate Pie is a wonderful smooth
texture and the chocolate flavour is lovely and rich. I always
grate chocolate on top of the Bavarian Chocolate Pie and just
add a little amount of nuts with it. The only trouble with
the Bavarian Chocolate Pie is that once you have one slice
you want another slice.

Chocolate Pie Ingredients
2
Tbs butter
2/3 cup sugar
3/4 tsp vanilla
9 inch baked pie crust
1 2/3 cups milk divided
1/3 cup hershey's cocoa
1 envelope unflavored gelatin
1/2 cup chilled whipping cream

Chocolate Pie Method
In
a medium saucepan sprinkle gelatin over 1 cup milk and allow
to stand for 2 minutes to soften. Stir together sugar and
cocoa and add it to the mixture in the saucepan then cook
over low heat stirring constantly until mixture boils. Remove
from the heat and add butter, stirring until melted. Blend
in remaining 2/3 cup milk and vanilla. Cool and chill stirring
occassionally until mixture begins to set. Beat whippping
cream until stiff, carefully fold into mixture. Gently fold
mixture into pie crust. Garnish the Bavarian Chocolate Pie
with grated chocolate.
