BASMATI
RICE SALAD RECIPE
If
you are like me and enjoy salads anytime of the year, I'm
sure you will enjoy the Basmati Rice Salad, it goes good with
a steak or sausages. Sometimes for lunch I just sit down with
a bowl of the Basmati Rice Salad on its own. I do not need
anything with it to enjoy it. My husband and I enjoy the Basmati
Rice Salad best of all with fresh fish.
Basmati
Rice Salad Ingredients
1
lemon, juice
1 1/2 cups basmati rice
315g soya beans cooked
salt and pepper to taste
1 1/2 cups yellow lentils
1 Tbs plain white vinegar
1/2 cup basil leaves, finely chopped
1 Tbs garlic chives, finely chopped
2 Tbs fresh oregano leaves, finely chopped
4 large ripe tomatoes, seeded and chopped
1 continental cucumber, seeded and chopped

Rice Salad Method
Take
a large saucepan and soak the lentils overnight and then cook
them as the instructions on the packet says to and then let
them cool. Cook the basmati rice and then drain it and allow
it to cool. Take a large salad bowl and combine all the ingredients
in it and mix well and serve the Basmati Rice Salad with a
lovely big steak.
