AMBROSIA
RECIPE
My mother used to make the
banana variety of Ambrosia when she cooked her meringues a
little too long or too hot. This is a neat way of saving a
pavlova attempt when the meringue part fails. The Ambrosia
is a delicious desert and no one need ever know that the meringue
failed.You can make the Ambrosia out of any fruit. The strawberry
Ambrosia is nice to but I prefer
banana.
Ambrosia
Ingredients
1 1/4 cup thick cream
broken meringue
2 bananas or strawberries
Ambrosia
Method
Empty the
cream into a bowl and whip it till it goes thick. On a plate
cut up the fruit coarsely making sure not to crush it. Next
take the meringue and break it into large pieces. In a bowl
combine everything for the Ambrosia before serving and arrange
it into the glasses. Serve the Ambrosia with some of the cream
and nuts or grated chocolate on top. This recipe is so easy
to make with failed meringues.
